1918 — HMAS SWAN and HMAS WARREGO provided escorts for British light cruisers and participated in the bombardment of the Austrian naval base at DURAZZO, Albania
1943 — 9th Division captured FINSCHHAFEN, New Guinuea. FINSCHHAFEN then became the base for the protracted Huon Peninsula campaign of 1943-44
